An incredible thank you to Kaela A. Scott Zev Z. Kyle W. Eric N. and Patrick M. who stopped by the unhackathon yesterday!
Now that itâs over, weâll rename the future ones to âOpen Officeâ because it was so amazing to have you all stop by and chat about community + AI, your community struggles, and my fave subject: Tightknit.
I would like to give a MASSIVE thank you to my cofounder Stephen C. who put in so much work to get our APIs over the line. The ability to connect Tightknit to your teamâs existing systems is so close, and I am so excited for all that to be realized!
Thank you again and happy Friday!
𦦠Welcome to the first-ever Tightknit Unhackathon! 𦦠The theme of this month: Community AI What is an âUnhackathonâ? Well, itâs like a hackathon, but it promotes the following:
No Pressure to Deliver: Unlike hackathons where participants are expected to produce a working prototype, an unhackathon focuses instead on ideation, learning, and collaboration.
Learning Over Winning: The focus shifts from competing for prizes to skill-sharing, learning, and experimentation.
Collaborative Over Competitive: We encourage participants to share ideas openly and work together without fear of judgment.
Celebrating Process: The emphasis is on documenting and sharing the journeyâwhat participants learned, the obstacles they encountered, and the breakthroughs they experienced, rather than on a polished final product.
Who is this for?
Developers who are interested in building the next generation of human-centered AI
Nontechnical Innovators interested in learning more about GenAI. Come, tell us some ideasâwe will build them with you.
Stephen C. and I will be online from 9AM EST to 9PM PST, building AI features all day. Weâll be here even if no one shows up, but weâd love it if you came to say hi.
