🔐 Private Communities Pilot 🔐 This might be the most requested feature since our inception, so I’m incredibly excited to be starting a new pilot to test a new feature we are dubbing: Private Communities Private communities allow you to take your entire Tightknit companion site and hide it behind a login screen. This login screen will start with Sign in with Slack functionality but will slowly expand to other platforms (Google, Github, even Discord 🤯) and Custom SSO. While the entire site will be private today, this is the start for hybrid sites where some channels are private and others are public. ↪️ We are looking for 5-10 customers who operate private communities to join us for this pilot. This pilot is best fit for customers who:
They have yet to create a Tightknit site as they are concerned about data exposure.
Generally operate either customer-only communities or application/closed community spaces.
This feature is in its infancy stages, so please expect bugs along the way. We have already started extensive security measures to ensure that only your members can access your site. We are looking for early adopters who are excited about providing a private space for their members with member directories and AI-powered search.
If you’re interested in creating a private community with Tightknit, please give us a on this message or a comment in the thread. If you know a community that might be interested, please share the Tightknit post with them (found in thread)—we are accepting new customers for this pilot.
Let’s lock it down together!
