Tightknit Release Notes (Jan 20, 2026)

๐ User Notifications (Pilot) You can now subscribe to individual posts, feeds, or a specific userโs feed and get notified when thereโs something new. Hereโs how it works:
Follow what matters โ subscribe to the conversations and feeds you care about
Get notified your way โ notifications appear via the bell icon on the Companion Site and land in your inbox via email
Stay in the loop โ no more manual checking or missed updates
Weโre actively testing, learning, and iterating on this feature, and we want your feedback! If you're interested in joining the pilot, comment in the thread below ๐

๐ ๏ธ Improvements & Bug Fixes API
Deprecating API domain at tightknit.dev in favor of tightknit.ai - If you use our REST APIs, please update your base URL to tightknit.ai by Feb 1, 2026.
Fixed CORS issue blocking access to the Admin APIs - Resolved a CORS issue that prevented browsers and AI tools such as Claude code from working correctly with our Admin API.
Companion Site
Expanded support for publishing comments to the Companion Site - Previously we limited the Post to Site shortcut to only the top-level post. Now if there's a comment missing for whatever reason, you can now publish to the Companion Site.
Rich text spacing now consistent between Slack and the Companion Site - We fixed spacing inconsistencies between rich text blocks so content now looks the same width apart in both places.
Misc
Fixed broken install link on our website -The install link now correctly redirects to the Slack app installation flow.
Updated our feature flagging platform - We made major improvements to our feature flagging infrastructure. This helps us roll things out safely and quickly.
