Enhancing Connections with Random Coffee Matching Tools in Tightknit

Random coffee/matching tools that take members of a channel, randomly match with each with someone else from the channel for a connection. Much like polls another way to ditch a third party app and make Tightknit even more valuable

Random can be done. I assume there would be an opt-out for folks in that channel and across all channels?
During a “match”, what’s the experience you expect for your end users (the two matchees)?

I’d keep it simple to start — if in channel you get matched. Then folks can opt in by joining channel or opt out by leaving channel. Match wise, maybe a message to each via DM to let them know they are matched then leave it with them to connect. That same message could also contain a reminder that they can opt-out from future matches by leaving channel.

Sounds similar to “Donut” in Slack, but (much) better integration 🧶

I was thinking about Donut too! In our community some was using Donut as a way to let people connect about a posted topic. Not sure how effective it was
