For Tightknit, you can save private channels to Tightknit in a private (accessible only to those who are members of that channel), right?
Not yet, unfortunately. We are actively working on portals and authentication to provide this experience, but it’s still in progress. Our best recommendation, although this does not apply to all private cases, is to make that Feed both SEO-unlisted and unavailable on the site’s left-hand navigation. However, the messages will still show up on the Home Feed so this does not work for everything. Overall, I think you will need our private feeds capability when it’s complete.
Trying to move our Slack Connects into the Community through Private Channels in the Community to organically fuel Community growth and have them in the space with all of our customer-focused programs and content.
Makes sense. For now, I suggest having Tightknit inside the Channel without the Feed set up. We do capture the messages behind the scenes and one day will be able to surface them as posts in bulk
ETA on the portal and being able to support a private channel experience like this, Zach?
Estimate only. Results may vary:
late September for portal alpha
late October for portal with private channels
Let me think about it. As Stephen Cook knows, I get these surges sometimes where I jump into the code to get a POC up when he’s doing the important stuff.
