Exploring New Privacy Controls for User Anonymity in Tightknit App

Hey all! We’re actively exploring adding additional privacy controls for individual users. 👻 Today, every admin can update the global privacy to Real Name, First Name Last Initial, Display Name, and Slack User ID. Those controls are under Profile > Settings in your Tightknit App Home. What we’re looking at for the future is allowing individual users to update their names to an anonymized name (think Red Hippo, Blue Asparagus). This would allow users to override the global privacy setting to remain even more private. However, as an admin, you could prevent this as I know name transparency is an essential element for community trust. We wanted to get your thoughts on this approach! Peter K. Elias W. Joel P.
