I don't say this to many people but I have such a deep, natural inclination to push back on all things AI 🤣
I hate automatic onboarding messages. I want to do everything by hand. I want to send personal DMs. I can see how they're useful, but I want to set a great tone for my comm.
I will say though, I made a GPT to help me connect people more efficiently. When someone joins the community they share the following:
📍 Where are you based?
🌟 Where do you work? Your role?
🔨 What are you working on right now? What are you hoping to learn from the folks here?
📺 What are you watching right now:
So, I took all of that info from my welcome channel, turned it into a JSON file, uploaded it to the GPT, and now I can ask it things like: "Who else is working on forecasting and building dashboards?" (it's a RevOps comm) or "Who else is from Ireland?" and it spits out a list for me. That's made connecting people infinitely faster and easier.
