🪪 Introducing Credentials and Certificates
Up to this point, the rewards given out to members have been in the form of Badges. But aren't there other exciting options of gifts to give? We think so! Today, we're introducing Credentials and Certificates (Beta). Before we get to Credentials, let's explain what happening to badges. Badges have been replaced with the concept of "Awards", which are bundles of any of the following gifts: • a badge • a profile photo frame • a credential / certificateThis allows us the flexibility to add more gift types in the future (think points) and allows you the flexibility to give multiple gifts to a user at once. You now use Awards everywhere you used to use Badges, such as the result of a Journey or given to members of a group. For existing customers, your Badges have all been converted into equivalent Awards.Okay, back to the Credentials! Tightknit now supports the ability to generate a certificate for a user as the result of an Award. Members are given convenient options to save the certificate, add it to their LinkedIn profiles, or link to their personal achievement page on the companion site. To add a credential to an Award, simply follow our Branding Guide to provide a base certificate template, while leaving room for us to fill in the recipient's name and grant date. Here's a Canva template to help get you started!
