How to Build a Community That Lasts: Insights from Hivebrite’s Community Growth & Benchmark Report Webinar
What does it take to build a community that lasts? On September 15 at 11am EDT, I'm joining Hivebrite's webinar to dig into their Community Growth & Benchmark Report, with Rachel Bray (Head of Global Outreach & Alumni Relations, CERN) and Matt Farquharson (Wonderly). The report pulls from 186 community professionals and 1,000+ communities, and a few findings are worth arguing about: 56.5% of us name stronger relationships and trust as our top goal, but only 5.4% cite revenue influence. Meanwhile 53.7% don't compare metrics between members and non-members, even as 77.6% say they can explain community's value to leadership. That gap is the interesting part. We'll talk about where engagement actually comes from, why measurement keeps falling behind confidence, and how to adapt without chasing vanity metrics. (In case you're wondering the report is not specific to the Hivebrite platform. Its approach is agnostic inasmuch as it's not a commercial for them although I suspect many of their research participants are drawn from their customer base.) hivebrite.io/webinars/how-to-build-a-community-that-lasts
