Hahah we do have the Jobs channel but I assume you're already checking in there occasionally ๐
thank you so much, its exactly what Shriya is describing
Actually, curious what sort of features would be the most helpful to you two before I make the ticket for it ๐ Because I suppose the baseline right now is that you can create a Feed from a 'jobs' channel and even put it into a card view for example. Or you can make a content collection for 'Jobs' and link out to a bunch you've collected. Would it only be jobs from your organization or a collection of organizations? Who should be able to post/take jobs down?
It would basically function like a job board - right now we share lots of partner and company jobs (some sponsored, some not) in a jobs channel in our WTS slack community These jobs are for the eyes of our members Some partners/sponsors even pay for us to share them with our members Instead of using a third party job platform - I felt that Tightknit would be excellent for this (a Resource Hub or similar) that would live in our community web view for our members to view jobs
What details do you collect on the job board Areej A.?
Location / Remote
Pay
...?
Linear Asks make a new request for both both Women in Tech SEO and Clay on the job board request
Example of pricing for third party platform I'm browsing: jobboardly.com/pricing
I can totally see it living here as its own section (& a feature that lots of communities would ask for because it's such an easy revenue stream for communities)
Some ideas, Areej A. super curious what yours are, maybe we can all help each other think through it, too! The big-big one:
We have specific requirements for every job and right now I manually tell people to fix it when they're missing reqs. 90% of this could be automated -- for example:
Include salary
Include a LinkedIn link of the person posting
Include the URL of the company that's hiring
Share location
Share time zone
^ Tightknit could just detect if those are included or not; most don't need AI, they're just like "does it include a URL in <format>", does it include the character "$"
Other cool stuff:
Notify me when the same person is re-posting a job; this can help us manage a rule like "no re-posting jobs more frequently than every X weeks"
Link to our "open to work" channel and tag recommended matches
Once it tracks those above requirements w/ fuzzy logic -- ex. time zone -- show trends in those posts over time (most common time zone) in Tightknit Studio
