🔎 The Search Begins [Alpha] Knowledge retention and accessibility is a cornerstone of effective online communities, so it comes as no surprise that search has been the #1 most requested feature. After all, Slack stands for “Searchable Log of All Conversations and Knowledge”. But while Slack search is focused on productivity, we are setting out to rebuild search based on discovery. Today, we are excited to announce that Search for the Tightknit companion site is now in Alpha! Customers in our pilot group will see search capabilities added to their sites. Users will be able to enter a query into the top search bar and see relevant search results within the community's Posts and Comments.
Curious how it works? Currently we're using a hybrid approach that combines both semantic search (aka the "meaning" of your query) and keyword text search. We're always fine-tuning the user experience and welcome all feedback!
💡 Interested in joining the pilot? React to this post with 🔎 and we will reach out with next steps.

[Slack] The app reinstall link now has your Slack workspace pre-selected by default, so you don't to worry about that pesky workspace dropdown picker

[Companion Site] Performance improvement for feeds (gradual rollout)
[Companion Site] Added Tightknit attribution in bowser console log
Fixes:
[Slack] Fixed incorrect label above Favicon image uploader in Companion Site general settings
[Slack] Removed emojis which are unsupported by Noto Emoji font from the emoji picker in Feed settings
[Companion Site] Reduced number of OpenGraph (og) images to one, since there is no standard behavior for handling multiple OG images. This makes your site's link previews consistent across all platforms.
