Tightknit Release Notes: New Studio, Thread Reminder & DM Update

Slack's message threading is an awesome way to bring organization to the chaos of busy channels. But everyyyy once in a while you'll have users that don't follow Slack etiquette and continually send posts or replies as top-level messages. For these users, we're releasing V1 of our thread engagement reminder! When enabled for a channel, Tightknit sends a threading reminder to users that post more than once to the channel within 60 seconds. See the full announcement here.

To comply with Slack marketplace guidelines, we no longer apply community branding overrides when the Tightknit bot sends direct messages (DMs) to individual members. Historically, when the Tightknit bot sent public-facing messages, the username and icon were overridden to adopt the your community's name and icon, and the message would appear in a conversation with Slackbot. The branding will still be applied when the bot posts in channels, but will no longer be applied when the bot sends DMs. Instead, members will find private notifications in the Messages tab of the Tightknit app. This applies to notifications for Events and Gamification.
