Tightknit Release Notes (Feb 10, 2026)

๐ A Fully Revamped Authentication System Weโve rebuilt authentication for the Companion Site, giving admins more control and more flexible setups. You can now customize which authentication providers appear on the login page and manage site privacy separately from user login. Admins can now choose which authentication providers appear on the Companion Site login page directly from Studio settings. This gives you more control over how members sign in and creates a cleaner, more intentional login experience that fits your audience. Head to Studio โ Settings โ Authentication, then select the providers you want to display.

๐ ๏ธ Improvements & Fixes Studio
Separated controls for site privacy and site authentication - You can now manage the privacy of your site separately from the ability to log into your site. This unlocks the ability to have public sites that also support users logging in for interactivity (think reddit!).
Slack
Bot messages now sync to Feeds by default (new โDisallowed Botsโ setting) - Messages from all bot users will now sync into Feeds on the Companion Site by default. If you donโt want certain bots to appear, blocklist those specific bot users in Slack app Settings โ Disallowed Bots.
API Update
Deprecated API endpoint at tightknit.dev -The API endpoint at tightknit.dev has been deprecated. Please update integrations to use tightknit.ai.
