Tightknit Release Notes (Oct 8, 2026)

📆 Plan And Create From The Studio Calendar
The Studio Calendar is now the fastest way to plan your programming. Click any day to quickly create an event, scheduled poll, or journey. The Calendar view is available on the Momentum and Enterprise plans.

🔌 MCP Now Available On Every Plan
The Tightknit MCP server is now included on every plan! Connect Claude, Codex, Cursor or another AI agent, and it can look up your members, monitor activity, update your site settings, and much much more (within your plan's limits). To get started, open Studio > Integrations > MCP and follow the setup steps for your agent.
🛠️ Improvements and Fixes
Studio
Your own Account page - Open Account from the profile menu to see your account info and linked Slack profile, and to set a Studio password. Admins can also see where they're signed in and sign out of other devices.
Member Since and Signed Up dates - The members list, member details and CSV export now show when someone joined your community (Member Since) and when they first signed in to your site (Signed Up). The export's Join Date column is now called Member Since.
Privacy Mode blurring - With Privacy Mode on, member photos are blurred and names show only their first letter, so a screen-shared Studio still looks like an active community. Emails and other identifiers stay fully hidden.
Slack
Visit your community site from Slack - The member App Home now has a Visit Community Site button at the top that opens your site in one click.
MCP
Send Slack messages from your agent - The new send_slack_message tool posts to a channel as the Tightknit app, your community or yourself, can reply in a thread, and returns the message so your agent can pin or link it. Requires Message Blaster.
Turn message storage on or off - update_feed can now switch whether a feed stores new messages from its Slack channel, just like in Studio.
Find who's talking about a topic - search_posts and search_comments now return each author's member id, so your agent can open their profile with get_member.
Activities point to their records - Activity results now include the id of the post, feed, award or other record each activity involved, so your agent can look it up.
Ask for tools we don't have yet - Agents can call get_more_tools to tell us about something they couldn't do, which helps us decide what to build next.
