Any thoughts on using pined messages and/or bookmarks as bookmarks on the external site? The use case here is we have a channel where we post and chat about different beta opportunities. We'll post the "how to get access" either in a pinned message or bookmark (which is generally a form that needs actioned) but we're hoping all the communication stays in that same channel. I would imagine this being like a dedicated landing page for beta test opportunities with the first row being all active opportunities and the chat stream still being active below?
Hey Jeremy G.! Weโve gotten this feedback before. Iโll make sure I add you to it. If you had two choices which would be top:
Pinned message. Post a message in the channel and when you Pin the message to the top, it also pins to the top of the companion site.
Weโd probably only allow the 3 most recent pins for now.
Bookmarked Links. These are simply URLs that you can add to the site, which are now added to the channel/feed. We would likely put them on the right panel of the site.
Weโd probably limit the 10 most recent bookmarks
Which would you choose (1) or (2) if you could only get one first?
(1) I think since we can add more information / context to the message probably. The only other thing that comes to mind is it potentially respecting rbac or any method to ensure the right content is being highlighted. I love that the community can push good info but for this use case there might need to be a way to ensure not everyone can create the highlighted context in this channel. Just a thought
