What Does LinkedIn Integration in Gamification Connect and How Does It Work?

linkedin x gamification can someone please explain to me like im 5 what exactly the linkedin integration does? on the docs it references "connecting it to your company page" but what exactly is it that's being connected? and how is 'connected' defined in this context?

Hey Jacob G., yes the LinkedIn documentation could use some work. I'll make sure we update it to explain it more clearly. Overall the LinkedIn integration is primarily for Certificates/Credentials. With our LinkedIn One-Click Credential feature, it will create an award that allows those users to add a credential to their profile associated to your company's LinkedIn page. once again, exactly what i was looking for! thanks, zach. tied to this, kinda, which is actually what i thought this feature would enable initially, is for the auto-share to linkedin (when someone earns a badge), that you could put in the pre-populated copy for the linkedin post a message that includes the tagged company. that would be super cool. not that it's very difficult to edit the linkedin post to tag the company, but thats what came to mind! more so a small nice-to-have.

We've tried everything to make this happen but sadly it's not possible to (1) attach an image to a prefill message and (2) tag a company either! C'mon LinkedIn! Get your stuff (aka your APIs) together dawg!

(at least not without having those end users log in with LinkedIn which most of them would never do)

the loom was awesome. love to see it. and noted on the limitation. linkedin has soooo many product gaps and whatever the opposite of gaps are, too (features we never asked for). ugh
