can journeys be targeted towards specific ppl? we are building a community with pubic and private channels and want certain journeys to be triggered to members in private channels and not public. any inputs here is appreciated cc Natasha K.
Great question!! This isn't currently possible but is actually something we've been scoping out in our backlog as other customers have requested it too! I'll add Willow as a customer to that ticket π Our idea was to have some journeys be scoped to apply only to certain 'groups', since groups are already a feature in Tightknit. So you could put everyone in that private channel, into a 'group', and then apply the journey to them. But would love your thoughts on some of these questions as we build it out:
Should the journey/milestone be visible at all to users outside the group audience?
What might you expect to happen if a user leaves the group mid- or post-journey, but they stay in the community? Should the journey simply disappear? Should the award or badge disappear if they've left the group?
oh cool. would love this feature.
i want to build journeys aimed towards both public and private groups. meaning certain journeys are not visible to private and certain ones are to public
not sure how groups work but if you mean they leave slack? curious why will anyone leave a group. can you explain more here?

Ok, so just to confirm the situation: if itβs a public group (docs on groups here), letβs call it βMVPs,β and you want that group displayed publicly on your companion site, then you could set a journey where members need to reply to 10 threads in the #help channel to earn the badge. In that case, not everyone would be able to complete the journey or earn the badge, but everyone could still see that MVPs need to complete that journey to get the badge. Is that the setup youβre imagining?

For this one, I mean leaving only the group, but not leaving Slack. Letβs use an MVP group as an example again, where users have to meet certain requirements external to the Slack to stay in the group. If someone loses their MVP status but has already earned an award in Tightknit thatβs only meant for the MVP group, should they lose that award, or would they keep it? And if they were halfway toward earning the award when they lost MVP status, would they still be allowed to finish it?
