🤫 Introducing Anonymous Slack Messages
Slack is the go-to platform for B2B communities because you always know who you’re speaking to. But sometimes, anonymity can spark the most honest, impactful conversations. That’s why we’ve created Anonymous Slack Messages. Here’s how we’ve designed it to balance privacy and trust:
→ Default OFF across your community.
Slack thrives on transparency, so anonymity isn’t the default. Fewer anonymous channels, more trust.
→ Configurable on a per-channel basis.
Not every space needs anonymity. With per-channel settings, you can enable anonymous discussions where they add value—for sharing vulnerable stories, code, or concerns.
→ No sender data stored.
We’ve taken a privacy-first approach. Anonymous means anonymous. No backdoors, no tracing messages. It’s your call to foster trust while encouraging candid participation. Taking a page from the big Apple
We’ve enabled Feedback with this feature for now, although it may be turned off if we find it does not suit the space.
⭐ However, if you’d like to test this feature, I have enabled 🔒[private feed] to let you scream about everything that drives you insane ⭐
I would love to hear people’s thoughts—what do you think of anonymity in communities? @here
