Gutcheck on this, pls: If I activate a gamefication journey today, Tightknit will NOT check activity retroactively.
Ex: To reach a milestone, a user has to send a top-level message in channel X
To achieve the milestone, the user will need to send a message AFTER I've activated the journey. Tightknit will not look back and see that they've already sent top-level messages in channel X
Is that correct?
I did see in the Help article that "join a workspace" is always checked as anyone seeing it is presumed to be in a workspace. But aside from that
Close! Tightknit will look at the Start Date of the Journey. That start date will check any milestone (message, reaction, etc.) that happens AFTER that point. So if you start a journey now, be sure to check when the start date is Let me know if that is clear.
To summarize for posterity:
Once you activate a Journey, your members' activity in Slack will begin to trigger milestone checks.
During each milestone check, Tightknit will evaluate all ingested activity data that occurred during your Journey's start date / end date window.
As an example, let's say Bob sent 4 messages yesterday. Then you activate a Journey with a milestone for 5 messages sent, within the last month. The next time Bob sends a message, it triggers a milestone check. Tightknit checks that Bob has now sent 5 messages within the Journey window and awards him the milestone.
