Exploring Verified Users for Enhanced Trust in Our Community
Reading time: 2 minutes
Heyhey! I was wondering how others and/or the Tightknit team might be thinking about "verified" users. We're considering having a sign up form to gate our community, but looking at options to go a step further and even potentially having a "verified" list of members - the criteria of such is not determined but I think that having some social media presence of some kind, a confirmation link in an email, and maybe forcing an upload of a profile picture could be a step in the right direction - maybe using AI to help with the process?
One of the core values of our community at Relume.io is to create key partnerships - but we'd love it if there was some sort of transparent indication to an agency that a Lumer in the community meets certain requirements or not.
So the question we're trying to solve for is:
How can we "increase" the trust level - but still present the options in a way that implies free-will, self-review, etc.
We want to avoid the scenario where an agency hires a Lumer based on a list of users that Relume has put a stamp on to say that this person does high quality work, is a good human, matches your values, etc. Its just not 100% possible to put a stamp like that on a human without some other data points (interview, tone, presentation, etc).
Just curious if anyone has attempted this at scale or not!
Have a great week! ![]()
