I’d go the other way — let your partnerships team lead this initiative and explain how they’ll be meaningfully integrated into the community experience for users of your product — through a “team page” with member profiles, invited to speak, etc. **Unless you also own partnerships 😂

Hey Matt J., I'd be interested in more of what you're thinking, but one of my thoughts is you could create a "Verified Lumer" group with Tightknit (see Mixpanel's for inspa) Then using our API, you could add a user to a group. Especially since it sounds like there are a bunch of other verification steps you would want to include: Link here That said, this is just one approach to the solution. Would be very open to hearing others!

Joel P. ah yeah its not necessarily partnering with us though right? Its basically them teaming up together to work on a single project or something like that. We've identified in our own experiences as a freelance web designer that if we can connect with 2-3 key partnerships, we can skyrocket our freelancing career into our own agency and beyond and so we're trying to facilitate that. But I do think your comment is valid in a way that there are other ways we could highlight people that we've personally interacted with - I get that question all the time "Hey I have this project, do you know anyone" and I'll tag people that I feel could be a good fit, but I have not gone through the same vetting as if it were my project, my money, my reputation on the line as an agency trying to build a website for a client - if that makes sense? The agency asking me this, still has to do their due diligence. Zach H. solid! I also don't think I realized you guys had an API....

even if we attempted to do the vetting and create this group, and do these things, I really don't want it to feel like Relume says these people will complete this job meeting all of my expectations (and then some) and will be absolute rockstars. It just feels like a liability to me - it feels like it could turn in the other direction very easily. But if there was some way for us to say "Hey, here are the minimum requirements that these Lumers have met, now you take it from here". 🤷‍♂️ We're early days to this idea so its not something we're looking to just flip on tomorrow.

Well love that it's early days. And ya I think I get the problem. Feeling like Andy C. or Avital K. might have some of the best ideas on this problem space. Maybe they might chime in. Matt J. as you begin to get a clearer idea of what you are looking to tackle, do let us know. Would love to sit down for an ideation session and see what we can make happen

I created a showcase channel for folks to share their use cases for a product of ours that’s data rich and a high value touch point for us with members. Maybe there’s something like that for them to share their strengths/tech used/etc. to highlight their skills to educate and inspire others.

Thinking of this as a progression path: Community Member > Contributor > Champion (of some kind) > Affiliate (creator/influencer/etc) > Certified Partner The group you're describing sounds like the Champion parallel. They've passed a vibe check, but you're not going to throw formal endorsement behind them, or something like a formalized partner agreement. It's a bit looser, something closer to a personal network. So flipping that into a structure with some requirements: Member - Anyone in the community Contributor - Meets certain participation thresholds, e.g. creating resources, answering questions Champion - Consistently shows up, contributes, does good work, passes the vibe check Affiliate - Formal application and approval process, managed by whichever team handles affiliates (GTM/demand gen/brand) Certified Partner - Ditto, formal application and approval process, managed by your partner/revenue/bizdev/etc team You can give those Champions a level of credentialization and identity, Relume-friendly label, badging, etc, showcasing them somewhere. Then when referring to them as a group, being very clear in your introductions, and in how you set expectations, that you're calling them out based on their activity/presence within the community.

Joel P. yeah we have a separate Slack workspace that is paid. Andy C. yep makes sense and we even already have some of these concepts in the wild but I dont think we're doing a great job communicating them so I think its time to really get serious and official about these groups. Appreciation the validation on this - amazing!

You could do a Slack Connect Channel between the two to bring workflow functionality into the channel, I believe, if it’d be helpful for you. Then you could use Slackbot or Channel Expert to help you likely recommend the best people/person to tag in a situation based on the items in this profile/submission to highlight their skills.

nice yeah, we actually considered having a private channel that we'd bring into our internal slack so its good to know that's an option!
