How to Resurface Old Threads in Tightknit After 90 Days

If someone wants to resurface a thread that exists in tightknit but is past the 90 days in slack, how do you guide your members to do that? Eg. Create new post in relevant channel and link to the previous post and tag people that were engaged in the convo
Mary G. runs a group that is on the free slack, so tagging her. She may have thoughts
And is a TK customer. But Shannon O. I think that would be my recommendation. However, I wonder if we could make the experience even better. Stephen C. if we used the tightknit.community link, we could create a custom unfurl experience or even tie to to a work object. We can chat about this more internally.
Generally I do not interrupt the post process bc it seems most use cases are a bit different. But if something is very similar I’ll grab the link from the companion site and tell them that is an additional resource they can use.
I think this person wanted to reignite an old convo specifically after looking through wanted to comment in tightknit which I was like ok that’s not what this is for 😝
Shannon O. what if I told you site comments was coming soon... 👀 so folks could keep old posts going. optional of course, but would you want it?
This is someone new to the community! Lolz so they wouldn’t have had the opp at the time
It’s an interesting question 🔒[private user] I think I would really only want it on past 90 day convos bc otherwise I think we’d want it in slack
^ Stephen C. this is a good configuration option idea
Unless there is two way sync but I think the intended behavior would prioritize slack replies
It is bidirectional sync, but I STILL think that's a good idea for a config
I think if there is that config option it would be nice to have a clear indication when you couldn’t reply in tightknit to say this community only allows for replies in tightknit after the 90 day window or something maybe more positive soudinf
Would love that configuration as a solution though!
Shannon O., it's making me realize we could notify the channel with something like:
Bobby Joe just commented on this post from Dec 24th, 2023. Go check it out here to respond!
Just thinking through ways to get the rest of the community to "activate" on finding answers. We'll toy with the experiment. The pilot is coming soon.
I like this for the free slack folks!! Side bar - for our community when the AI agent shares the companion site link… that doesn’t make sense to me since we are in the slack. For our community I’d want the option of an AI agent that links to similar topics/content in slack not the companion site. I personally only want to use the companion site as something to share with advocates that aren’t in slack or with folks who are less active and make the assumption that they might not regular slack users
