hey team, is there a permission besides admin for team members that id like to be able to upload events/edit without admin approval? Events manager permission is too broad
any thoughts on this Stephen C.?
Which parts of the existing permission are too broad for you?
Just curious
i want the events manager to be able to post an event without the admin approval, what would the appropriate permission be?
Got it, so the existing Events Manager permission would be fine if they didn't have to go through admin approval, right?
correct Stephen C.
need the user to post a bunch of past events + dont want to approve all or make him an admin
We don't have this today, so the safest option is using the permission and approving it yourself. There's a couple ways I see addressing this in the future:
Add scopes to API keys - you can assign event-related permissions to the key for your user to use
Another permission, or a sub-option on the existing permission, that doesn't require admin approval
Which do you think you would use?
2. a sub option or a tick box that says "allow posting without admin approval " Stephen C.
Stephen C. when uploading past events, is there a way to avoid publishing them in a channel? id just like them to go into my cache of past events, im not looking to spam the community with new messages just update the past events
That is a great point Eli A.. Let me see about removing the slack-channel as a requirement.
thank you Stephen C. final question: is there a way within the slack app itself to see the cache of past events?
About the recaps, right now that is a separate flow. You'll have to create the event and then in hte Events List modal, use the ··· dropdown menu to get the "Add recap" option. Apologies for the poor experience of event management in the slack settings. We've realized that the limitations of Slack's UI building blocks really prevent us from creating custom-fit UI we need for complex flows like this. So it is on our immediate roadmap to be moving these settings over into the admin Studio where we can tailor fit the UX.

Yes at the top of the Events List modal you can filter by Past events: https://docs.tightknit.ai/events/getting-started#events-list-panel
