Hello 👋 there! I’m super curious about this community and the Tightknit solution and happy to be here. 💃 I found you via a search on Perplexity and am exploring how to build a human centered AI powered health/wellness community. My new venture is looking to facilitate a good, good use for AI. 😊 You can connect with me on LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/laurazook?utm_source=share&utm_campaign=share_via&utm_content=profile&utm_medium=ios_app

Nice to meet you Laura Z. ! Just sent a connection request. I actually spent my first 5 years or so of my SaaS career in the public sector.
Thanks so much!

Thanks so much! Agreed on all points. I’m also coming from the eComm mindset where you could have recommended products (affiliate), or shop functionality like on insta, TikTok. Curious if there’s eComm type integrations or if that stays separate on your brand site.
None of the communities I’ve built were monetized, they were all for communities of practice and SaaS products. Monetization is always a tricky balance. IMHO there has to be first value in joining beyond community (e.g. content, services, knowledge you won’t get elsewhere) and community becomes an extension that supports the flywheel turning. You might enjoy the book Get Together it lays out some simple steps to building community (the authors later helped build community at Substack and OpenAI):
Find your people
Do something together
Get people talking
Attract new folks
Cultivate your identity
Pay attention to the folks that keep showing up
Create and supercharge the leaders
Celebrate wins together
Repeat, repeat, repeat
My passion is health/wellness and I’ve been bio hacking for decades (before it was cool). This is a side hustle and hopefully a transition back to being a full time entrepreneur. My SaaS career has given me great success and stability for my family. I’m building my next move now that my boys are older. I know I want to be in biohacking biz space ultimately. In the communities you built, how do you monetize it?
Welcome Laura. See you’re at Level Access, is this a side hustle or career transition? Happy to help with any questions you have about Tightknit as I’ve used it in a few communities thus far.
