Hey everyone quick Q: I shared a post in our Slack Community and deleted it again. Somehow it's still visible in our companion site. Hasn't happened before 👀 Anyone knows why that is? 🫣 💡 Zach H.

OK great, thank you Zach H.! 🙏 For private, ok that makes sense! So only members that have been invited via link will be able to view the site after joining. Before that they won't be able to view the site.

Understanding Public vs. Private Settings on the Companion Site

Hi Community, what is the difference between public / private in the general settings of the companion site? 👀 Does "public" mean that anyone with the link to the companion site will be able to view the content? Does "private" mean that no one will be able to view the companion site, except those who have previously joined the Slack space e.g. vie invite link?

We keep track of members through our CRM but have things synced with Slack so we know when someone joins Slack specifically.

Yes that would be amazing! So you just used Zapier to connect Tightknit with your CRM tool?

Tightknit lets us register members to Zoom events directly in Slack so we know that only people who have permission to be in Slack are registering for event

Still have to look into the event feature, but that is ideal for our case!! Thank you Lauren D. 🙏

Thanks for connecting Zach H.! 🙂 Lauren D. we're a private community which means our members will only be able to join via invite. I want to get a deeper understanding who has joined the community after all (did competitors enter at some point etc.). Do you have some mechanisms in place for that (e.g. monthly reporting, manual efforts)?
