Automate Slack Invites with Tightknit: Join, Track, and Analyze
Reading time: 1 minute
📯 Slack Invite Join Link Automation and Analytics Slack communities provide invite links which can be used 400 times (even if set to Never expire), but this becomes especially frustrating when your community is growing past 400 new users every few months. The Tightknit team has taken the pain away from this process. Here’s how:
We’ve created a new URL for your site [your-community.com/join] that redirects to your Slack invite link.
We’ll now notify you in the Tightknit hub channel when both 300 new members have joined and your join link has been visited at least 300 times and then every 50 users after.
For Advanced Marketing Users: we also capture UTM variables source, campaign, and medium so you can better understand where your new users are arriving from. Feel free to use your-community.com/join?utm_source=XXX&utm_campaign=XXX&utm_medium=XXX anywhere you want users to join your community, including emails, in-app, or even on QR codes. Weekly analytics reports and APIs are coming soon.
