I bet Matt J. or Amanda R. might have some thoughts on βShow and Tellβ for Relume and Gamma which are both generally in the design space (and are pretty)
Zach H. thanks for the email summary of these threads!
Joel P. Yes Invited: At Stanford, we invite members to speak. At CapitalOne, we ask users to document success stories, on the road to becoming advocates
Incentives: At ADP they give certificates and publicize leaderboards. I am considering personalized certificates they can post or add to their portfolio, see attached.
Lemme know questions or if you want to chat.
Why would someone document a success story at CapitalOne then, essentially whatβs in it for them?
For CapitalOne and ADP, are these internal (employees) or external (customers, partners, non-customers, etc.) groups of people, j z.?
At the moment we have two levels - the #showcase channel which is open to all, and then our showcase on our website which is a submission into an airtable base and approved by Adam our co-founder. Iβm trying to put a process around the showcase feature so its more clear to all what the criteria is.
At the moment, no incentives but I could easily see that changing in the future.
Joel P. both internal and external. For internal tools, we still need to get prioritized. That is where internal champions speak up, but also help other users of the internal tools
Matt J. how do you market showcases? I assume in app, but also outside like on Slack, websites and social.
j z. yeah occassionally the social media team will blast one out otherwise we used to have a monthly email blast that usually includes a new showcase item.
Otherwise its a main nav item on relume.io and also weβll occasionally link showcase sites to certain component preview pages.
Matt J. thanks! Another tip is writing the showcase for user to approve. Or asking the same 3 questions so that they know where to start. All to help them get going ;)

This reminds me so much of what my colleague Oliver did with ecommerce/retail tech tools startupsβ¦I would love to hear more context!
