Tightknit Release Notes (July 11, 2024) Configure Site-wide User Display Names James, Jim, Jimmy, Jimbo, JX1430... what's the best way to display the names of community members? You decide! In the new Profile Settings modal, you can now select your display name preference for users on the companion site. This setting controls which name is shown for each user. Currently, the options are:

  • Display Name - the user's display name in Slack (e.g. Johnny Nickname)

  • First Name, Last Initial - the user's first name and last initial (e.g. John D.)

  • Real Name - the user's full name in Slack (e.g. John Doe)

  • Slack User ID - the id of the user in Slack (e.g. U12345678)

Click here to learn more! 💡Note: The process to update all user's display names may take several minutes for large communities. Updates:

  • [Companion Site] Event's links are now displayed as a CTA button in the event page header, except for past events. The button text is the registration button text configured in the Event Settings.

  • [Slack] Fixed description for automatic Feed sync settings to be more clear that only messages from that point onward are synced

Fixes:

  • [Companion Site] Fixed bug for reactions with compound emoji with multiple skintone variations
