Troubleshooting Event Posting Issues from Slack to Community Site

hey team am i doing something incorrectly? when i went to create an event tightknit asked what channel i wanted it to appear in, i clicked " announcements" it posted in slack but my community companion site did not update, i clicked post to site as a shortcut ( i also added my bot to the community) but that also did not work
