Introduction from Carrie: Community Builder and Consultant at CMJ Group

Hi fellow community nerds (unless you identify as a community cool person, in which case: teach me your ways)! I'm Carrie! I currently live on a farm next to my best friend in the Bay Area (Petaluma), though previously spent 5 years in Wisconsin, 5 in Seattle, 5 in SF, and have lived a handful of other places. 5 years seems to be my pattern, but now I have a child so Petaluma will be home for the foreseeable future. Community building is my life's work, and I currently run a consulting and membership org called The CMJ Group, where we show bold, visionary leaders how to build and grow the communities of their dreams. ☁️ I'm also the coauthor of Building Brand Communities, a social science researcher uncovering the drivers of belonging in communities, and a blue ribbon award winning pie baker. 🥧 I've been in the Tightknit Slack community for about 6 months, but never said a formal hello. Our team is kicking off a big build in Slack + Tightknit so I'll probably be here a bit more often alongside our community strategist.
