I have a product request! My slack is huge and NOISY is one of the complaints I get often. That the folks in my slack would LOVE to surface more of the signal in the noise of the hundreds of posts that get posted daily. Chat helped me outline the thoughts! Would love others' opinions! AI-Powered Personalized Slack Digest Request We’d love to see an AI-driven digest inside Tightknit that helps members stay on top of the conversations that matter most to them. As our community grows, it’s easy to miss valuable insights, wins, and discussions happening across channels. A curated feed—delivered via email or inside the platform—would make it easier for everyone to stay connected and informed. The BIG IDEA: A personalized digest where each slack member can choose the topics, keywords, or themes they care about—like demand gen, events, product marketing, partner marketing, PR, content strategy, or career growth. Tightknit’s AI would then surface a tailored list of relevant conversations, threads, and resources from Slack. Why It Matters

Encourages deeper engagement with content that aligns with their goals
Surfaces hidden gems from across the community
Makes the platform more valuable for busy pros who can’t scroll all day
Really important way to keep folks engaged with the Slack who don't have a daily habit

What It Could Look Like

Members pick topics of interest
AI monitors Slack for relevant conversations
A periodic email or in-platform digest delivers curated links to those conversations with recaps

(The email should preserve privacy of the poster still)

Bonus: Maybe it can help us create our own company newsletter too?

I can toggle this on and off per-person, or groups of people. For example, this can be part of a paid membership only

But I think I can’t count on my hands the large number that have tried but closed up due to small market share and TAM like Lowdown Slack AI can also summarize. 1.
If the V1 wasn't personalized to each individual, would that be a dealbreaker
2.
Would the admin define the topics or would the end user?
3.
Would you expect customers to only select topics or would you also expect them to select channels? What would be more important between topics vs channels in your opinion?

1.
It would not be a deal breaker if the v1 version wasn't personalized to each individual.

I envision the end user defining the topics. That way, they can determine (e.g., if they are in field marketing but they also really like demand-gen content) to get the best of both surfaced to them in an easy and click-able way.

As an aside, if an admin, or a moderator, or an owner define the topic for themselves too, they can easily surface insights for their community newsletter that is easy for them to collect

I think that topics would be the priority. For channels, someone can click into the channel and see everything that's happening. But a lot of our topics are spread across channels. We already have 50+ channels that are very integrated by topic. So I think what people want is a way to collect and curate all of the signal that they are searching for amongst the many, many, many, many channels we have.

I envision there being the ability to vote and provide feedback on how ever this is delivered so that the AI can train and become better at delivering the best comments and links to conversations possible

Thanks Scott B. for the suggestions. These are really great, just not a fit for us. We are a free Slack community, so we can't use any paid tools (budget maxed out and most tools charge on a per-user basis we've found). We are non-technical, and we hope that Tightknit can provide this sort of functionality - I think a personalized digest that points people back into the Slack makes it so that they can really get the most value from the Slack community on an ongoing basis!

I’m in another community that has daily digests and I’m not a fan. I usually just delete it. I’d like more of a monthly or weekly highlights but in a totally different format. Looks like they use Breezio.

Cheyenne R. that's a good point. It would be useful to let the user choose frequency. I was also not thinking daily, given the Slack itself is noisy already that'd probably be too much for the slack members, I was thinking weekly or monthly.

Zach H. HNY! Just wanted to check on the status of this. I'm trying to decide if I should roll out a newsletter for our insiders or not but if you roll out a TK digest for our community, then that would solve this for me. 🤔
